In reporting on his visit to Hong Kong Minister of Defence has recorded the view that water provision is reasonably satisfactory unless the population continus6 rapidly to increase. le suggests that
alternative supplies such as from condensation should be considered.
2. In his personal letter No. 53687/49 of the 29th May, Sidebotham enquired your views on inter alia the possibility of providing such alternative supplies.
