After consultation with Colonial Office, F.B.I. have agreed to extend their training scheme to Hongkong graduates now in Free China, under title "F.B.I. Hongkong Engineering Postgraduate Apprenticeships".

2.

Colonial Office will pay travelling expenses and maintenance grant over and above apprenticeship wages to bring total allowance to £28 a month.

3. As there are likely to be few candidates, F.B.I. suggest that vacancies should be found, after selection of candidates, in works most suited to their qualifications and requirements. Students should be selected as soon as possible by British members only of Selection Committee, and full particulars forwarded through us. Standard of qualifications should be same as for other candidates of Chinese nationality.

These apprenticeships are additional to those for Chinese graduates.
