I beg to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of 19th December, 1945 (Reference 53611/7/45). I am pleased to accept the appointment as a member of the University of Hong Kong Ledical Degrees Emergency Committee.
I should like to draw to your attention that no enclo- sure was made of a copy of the Hong Kong University (Ledi- cal Legrees) Order in Council referred to in the letter, so that the action of the Committee has been held up pend- ing its arrival. A signal has already been sent by Mr. Hazlerigg, the Chairman of the Committee, requesting the despatch of a copy of the Orler in Council.
