With reference to Miss Whyte's request and in confirmation of your telephone request, I enclose copies of three statements which were issued locally.

2. I am not enclosing copies of the schedules of resulting new Dockyard rates of wages for industrial employees, i.e. without supporting explanations of conditions, hours etc. (which are different in the Dockyard 44 hours weekly from outside employment), they would be of little use to you.

But briefly, adjustments have been made on the basis that the cost of living element in the settlement, viz. 30% increase on basic pay with overall maximum of 20 cents per hour, shall be applied throughout the industrial grades range of remuneration.
