There were only 25 individual rations issued.
During September and the first half of October
the Navy was supplying approximately 1500 rations
daily.
During this period a great number of clerks
etc. started arriving from Macao and elsewhere;
this resulted in an increase in the number of
those eating in the Hong Kong Hotel.
The total number of personnel rationed however,
dropped for the following reasons.

Stanley Camp was cleared.
H.K.V.D.C. were rationed direct by the
Army as was Rosary Hill and St. George's Mansions.
The H.K.R.N.V.R. ceased to exist as
a unit.
