The China Light & Power Co., staffed by R.A.F. personnel was running on wood fuel giving a curtailed service. Light in Hongkong was supplied through the Naval Yard Generator, boosted by submarines. The Hong Kong Electric Co. were not operating

A Controller of Printing (also proprietor of a newspaper) was undertaking Government printing but this suffered owing to a clash of interest.

R.A.F. only.

The Government Studios were in operation with cur tai led programmes. Some 8,000 record. were found undamaged. English & Chinese programmes were on the air simultaneously.

A start had been made with press conferences and news service.

A record had been kept of all civil and some forces requisitioning. Little control was exercised.
