Seven Unofficial Membere. As customary 9

Unofficial Justices of the Peace have been invited to nominate one of themselves for appointment to seat which in 1941 was held by Sir Henry Pollock, K.0. Two nominations were received.

(a) Maurice Murray Watson, Solicitor, Senior partner Messrs. Johnson Stokes and Master.

(b) Charle Bernard Brown, Chartered Accountant,

of Messrs, Peet Marwick and Mitchell.

As a result of election by Unofficial. Justices held yesterday, Maurice Murray Watson has been nominated by 46 votes to 21 and I accordingly submit bis name to you for approval of appointment under Article 13 of the Royal Instructions. Grateful for very early reply to enable new member to take his seat on 11th October,
