I have the honour to refer to your confidential
telegram No. 1240 of 14th November, 1946, and to inform you
that I have provisionally appointed Mr. Thomas Maynard
Hazlerigg, C.B.E., M.C., to be a member of the Legislative
Council, with effect from 21st November, 1946, in place of
Mr. Charles Henry Sansom, C.M.G., C.B.E., acting Commissioner
of Police, who has resigned on his departure from the
Colony.
2. . Copies of the instrument of appointment and of
the Government notification together with a revised list
of members of the Legislative Council are enclosed for
your information.
