pathological work of the Government

NOTE:
Hospitals on the Island of Hong Kong as well as the University
wards of the hospitals.
Its vory complete museum was destroyed
by the Japanose, and the records of over thirty years work
destroyed. The minimum staff for the teaching and investigation
to be undertakon is : 1 Professor.

FACULTY OF ENGINEERING.
The Committee has not yet concluded its con- sideration of this Faculty, but tentatively it appears generally to be hold that degroo Courses in Civil Engineering would be justifiod af there were a possibility of developing the study of Architecture for which almost no provision is made anywhere in China.
MATTERS STILL TO BE CONSIDERED :
The Committce still has to consider the site and buildings for the University, the present Constitution and organization of the University, scales of salary and finally it must make ni leust a provisional estimate of the capital cost of such suheno of development as it may recommend and the grants that His Majesty's Government may be asked to make to meet this, and towards recurring charges.
The proposals so far tentatively approved by the Committee would necessitute the employment of the following additional staff:

On the other hand if the University Department of Mochanical and Electrical Engineering are abolishod thore will be a saving to the extent of the salaries of two Professors.
