There was difference in the Committee about the place of Fharmacology in dedical course in long Long. scientific study of the subject (manifestly would place it among the ajor subjects of the curriculum; it would be the matter of a Department with its own irofessor. and hadiology also were taught by the Government Medical Officers who held specialist appointments.

The importance of this De artment of Medical Education in the conditions of Hong Kong can not be overstressed. In order to achieve a close integration of teaching and practice it was agreed that the Deputy Director of the Medical Services of the Hong Kong Government should hold also the irofessorship in the University.
