Discussion of the principal difficulties in the way of giving effect to the resolution carried at the first meeting
held on January 18th, namely, that the Committee wishes to see the University restarted in such a way as to carry out the original purposes of the founder. It is suggested that these might be discussed under the following heads:-

The conception of a single university for the Far East (H. K. U...C. No. 2 paragraph 10) in relation to the need for a Malayan university referred to at the first meeting:

It is expected that the Committee will not have time to have further discussion at the next meeting but should item 6 be completed before the end of the meeting, it is suggested
that the next subject for discussion should be examination of the type of university required to meet the Lugard conception in terms of 1946.
