CHINESE DELEGATION TO THE UNITED NATIONS
My dear Sloss,
49 Portland Place London W.I.
30th March, 1946.
34.
When I heard of your return to England I made several attempts to contact you, but they came to naught. I knew
you were giving the lecture at China Institute one day, but I could not go as I had to be away from London at the time.

As
Your idea of an architecture degree is excellent. far as I know we have only two or three universities in China which offer such a degree, and what facilities they had before the war are now pretty well depleted.
Unfortunately I am scheduled to go to Paris on 2nd April, but I hope to return on the 5th or 6th, when I may be sent to America to assist our representative at the Security Council should it still be sitting by then, But now that I have your address and tele: phone nu ber I will telephone you as soon as I come back from Paris, and arrange for a meeting.

I hope you are well. Do look after yourself. I know what internment must have meant to you from my own experience in a Japanese cell.
Cheers.
