(a) the powers given under subparagraph (16)

The powers of expenditure conferred on

(a) The payment of salaries (including arrears

(b) The payment of such other claims of such

(c) The payment of contributions on behalf of
such o ficers and servants into the
University Provident Funds.
(d) The payment out of the Provident Funds to
such officers and servants of sums due to
them or to their executors or administrators.
(e) The purchase, on behalf of the University,
of such books, appliances and apparatus
as may be required to enable the University
to resume its activities.
