I have been away in Shanghai for three weeks so a few days before I get time to study the report, sure it will be full of interest.
I heard a rumour that you were likely to come out and have a look at things here for yourself, and I think it would be a very good idea for you and several others to do so as candidly I sometimes feel a bit alarmed by the suggestions that are put to me presumably hatched at the Colonial Office
I am kept pretty busy here not altogether with Bank affairs, and I hope I am doing just a little to help the affairs of the Colony.
