You will see that Mr. Wilson offers himself as a candidate for the post of Registrar of Hong Kong University when it is re-established and in the meantime could be considered for appointment as the Permanent Secretary of the University. I have discussed this
with Mr.Rowell who suggests that the first thing to do is to write confidentially to the Vice-Chancellor, Edinburgh University, saying that we have had an enquiry from
Kr.Wilson regarding the possibility of being considered for appointment as Registrar, Hong Kong University, and that we would be grateful for any observations the Vice- Chancellor may care to offer.
