Sir,

I am etc. to inform you that an

application has been received from a

jur. John wilson of 3 Bonnington Road,

Peebles, in connection with the

possible appointment at a later date of a

Registrar for Hong Kong University.

It is the intention that a small

Advisory Committee should be established

in the near future to represent the

University and to undertake planning

and make recommendations/for its

rehabilitation.

It is expected that

this Committee will recommend the

appointment of a full time paid

Staff

Secretary and possibly other officers

assist in

to study the problems involved and make

recommendations to the Committee in

regard to such matters as the

assembling of staff, the collection of

equipment and the priorities to be

given to the re-establishment of the

various faculties.

It would be appropriate in
