Dear Professor Roxby,
We are most grateful for the trouble you have taken to give us your views on the luture of Hong Kong University particularly in relation to the needs of Chine and the British Council's work there, as set out in your letter of the 30th August. I am the mo istressed, therefore, to find that no letter of ackno. ledgement on theuke has hitherto been sent to you.
