Thank you very much for your letter of the 31st December. I shall do all in my power to help the work of the Hong Kong advisory committee, although I rather feel very handicapped by lack of first-hand knowledge of Hong Kong.
I shall not be available in London for some time, due to the illness of one of my research assistants, and I have to prepare a report from now onwards.
I shall do my utmost to attend any meeting which is called in the meantime but that may prove impossible. Perhaps I may be able to help by correspondence.
