In view of recent developments the Colonial Office are anxious that Colman should assume the duties of Chairman Designate of the Hong Kong Port Trust as soon as possible after his return to England. They presume he would still wish to take leave in United Kingdom after release from his present appointment and before proceeding Hong Kong and that during such leave he could attend meetings
