"For courage and devotion to duty dis- played in volunteering & taking part in an expedition to the imperial Chemical Industries Godowns in Great George Street, some 200 yards in front of the British front line, in order to clear away looters on a complaint received from the Military that their fire was being masked on the morning of the 23rd December.
(This recommendation has already been made by r. Calthrop in Paragraph 1 (h).

"I also wish to make particular mention of L. S. Al42 Kinloch. This officer was not in the Criminal Investigation Department but was always most willing and useful in assisting the C. I. D. in carrying out tasks of a hazardous nature and often gruesome nature.
