(1) and (2) are copies of the Malayan Court
Proclamations registered here for ease of reference. No action is required on them.
(3), (4) and (5) are drafts which were submitted by Mr. Hazlerigg in May last. See (1) on 54145/8. They have now been superceeded by (6) and
can therefore be put by.
I have attached at (7) an extract from a note by Mr. MacDougall (registered at (3) on 54145/8) showing that (6) has been agreed with the War Office Legal Adviser Colonel Bacon. Perhaps Colonel O'Connor would now very kindly say whether he has any Qirments.

be"article".
Article 14.
It would be clearer to
substitute "finding and sentence" for "decision" in line 1.
3. Article 23641. Preumably a confirming authority may not interfere with an acquittal, (even if he thinks justice requires it) e.g. by quashing the the order
