Dear Major smailes,
September, 1945
You have, I think,
already heard from Mr. Caine and Mr. Palmer on the subject of the Hong Kong Currency and
Demobilisation of Volunteers Proclamations. Attached herewith is a draft telegram giving Colonial Office comments and suggestions on the rest of the draft Proclamations which
Brigadier MacDougall left with us just before his departure.
As
soon as some means of communication is established, we should be most grateful if you woulu have this telegram sent t him argently.
Yours sincerely,
To
MAJOR SMAILES.
