Fourthly, as the government has set up regulations with a view to stabilize the currency, we must refrain from speculation. Fifthly, we should make donations to charity organizations whether for medical treatment or for relief of unemployment, etc, which will serve as an aid to governmental administrations.

"In short, as we have the privileges of residing in Hong Kong, we have also the duty of co-operating with the government. Although we may encounter certain inconveniences during our stay in Hong Kong, we should remember that this is war time, during which we must patiently endure every hardship. Moreover, the war tends to become a long war, and we may have to cope with greater difficulties in times to come. We should, therefore, work with perseverance in order to render assistance towards the accomplishment of reconstructions in Greater East Asia."
