C. T. F. 111 Admiralty. Supreme Commander Allied Powers Com 7th Fleet.
I am now in communication with Japanese Commander at Hong Kong by W/T in plain language. He says that he has no Authority to deal with Allied Officers but that I should deal with Lieutenant General Tajaka at Canton which I am trying to do. le says further that Japanese Forces in South China have as yet received no instructions from their (?Home) Government.
(2) Aircraft which flow over Hong Kong this morning and dropped mossages met no opposition.
(3) Have ruco1vud warnings from Japanese that Channels are fouled by American Magnetic mines.
(4) Am informing General Tahaka that I intend to enter Hong Kong and occupy Naval Dockyard tormorrow or Friday. (5) Bad weather is restricting flying.
