Following are instructions for MACHIN for preparation of scheme using
British Military Agencies to ensure rapid re-introduction of effective | British

First.
Begins.
In event re-occupation of HONG KONG by British or American forces
no special difficulty anticipated. This signal concerned therefore only
repeat only in case of seizure, or anticipated seizure of colony by
Chinese forces of any type.
Second. In that event Colonial Office consider very necessary to forestall
assumption of civil administration by Chinese by means of rapid infiltration
