Thank you for your letter of 16th May (54144/45). in which you drew attention to the need for militarising the Hongkong Planning Unit at an early date.
The matter has been submitted to my P.U.S. who has directed that the proposed War Establishment should be placed before the War Establishment Committee for approval in the near future, and I have given instructions for this to be done.
