THE COMMITTEE took note with approval that the War Office had been invited to take the necessary action, in conjunction with the Colonial Office, on two telegrams from the C-in-C. Hong Kong stating the urgent need for civilian staff to be flown to Hong Kong, with operational priority, in order to man various administrative and public utility posts.
