In the F.M.S., by Emergency
Regulation, the board of directors of any company registered there may transfer to any part of the British Empire, and there maintain, the registered office of such company. It is not possible to pass
enactment.
In the Straits Settlements, similar facilities have been granted by Defence Regulation for such period not exceeding six months after the war as the Registrar of Companies may approve. In the circumstances, you may think Order-in-Council unnecessary.

Short Title.
Removal of registered office of company from Colony of incor- poration to the United Kingdom.
Removal of registered office of company from Colony of incorporation to part of His Majesty's Domin- ions other than the United Kingdom.
PRESENT
The King's Most Excellent Majesty in Council.
Whereas for the purpose of maintaining the
effectiveness of the operation of companies incorporated
under the law of certain Colonies for which His Majesty
has a general power to legislate by Order in Council
it may be found expedient to remove the direction of any
such company from its place of incorporation to the
United Kingdom or to some other part of His Majesty's
Dominions
Now, therefore, His Majesty, by virtue and in
exercise of the powers enabling him in that behalf, is
pleased by and with the advice of his Privy Council
to order and it is hereby ordered as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as "The Colonial Companies
Transfer Order in Council 1942".
2. If the Board of Trade, in pursuance of any power
enabling them in that behalf, shall make an order directing any company incorporated under the law of a
Colony for which His Majesty has a general power to
legislate by Order in Council to register in the United
Kingdom in accordance with the terms of such order, the registered office of such company shall be deemed to be
forthwith transferred to the United Kingdom, notwith-
standing anything contained in the memorandum of
association of the company or in the law of the Colony. 3: If in any part of His Majesty's dominions other than the United Kingdom an authority empowered by law in that
behalf shall make an order directing any company
incorporated under the law of a Colony for which His
Majesty has a general power to legislate by Order in
Council
