provisional award in cases where pension will become payable names and appointment of pensionable officers concerned should be telegraphed to me as soon as notice is given.
(b) Operative date of notice is date of letter conveying such notice. As regards non-pensionable staff period of notice should be taken as one month unless evidence
can be produced that officer is entitled under agreement to longer period.
4. Your telegram No. 765. No deductions need be made from salaries in respect of taxes or pension contributions but in the case of pensionable officers deductions should be made in respect of contribution to Widows and Orphans Pensions Scheme at the rate of four per cent.
