Glad to learn that Debate has ended without disclosure of the telegrams. I quite agree to your letting both the Government and the Opposition leaders know informally that it is very saticfactory to us that it has been possible to prevent disclosure of these telegrams.
You will understand that it is better not to overdo the thanks and appreciation as we naturally have a right to expect that the safeguards under which we agreed that these documents should be made available to the Commission would be complied with.
