Stanley Prison
Source was formerly ??? ?, P.W.D. Hong Kong. From ?? he was working ? ? in Stanley Gaol. Gaol is staffed with four Japanese officers, whose names are:

There are now four British serving 2 years hard labour for attempting to escape from Stanley Internment Camp. Their names are:-
Bidmead, former senior Superintendent of Police.

Fay, Morrison, H
Superintendent of Police. Sergeant of Police.
Rendall, 11 China Light & Power Co.

These four attempted to escape from Stanley Internment Camp about March or April, 1942, but were caught. It is believed that they entered by mistake a house full of Japanese. After being caught, they were kept at an address unknown at Happy Valley for about 6 weeks, where they were extremely badly treated. They were removed to Stanley Gaol in a very exhausted condition about May.
3. On admission to Gaol, Randall was severely beaten with a Sword becaus he did not understand an order in Cantonese to submit to be searched. Re was in the gaol hospital for some considerable time, where he was allowed to be visited by a British woman doctor from Stanley Internment Camp dail; from about 7 a.. to 5 p.m.

These four British are now committed in cells Nos. 3, 4, 5 and 6, in "D" Hall. Cells Nos. 1 and 2 contain two Indians, names not known.

Daily routine as follows:

7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
(Tokyo time) wakened up.

4. p.m. to 5 p.m. bath and evening meal.
5 p.m. return to cells.
Bidmead, Fay and Morrison generally work in the garden, or sweep. Randal was working ? ? ?? in the Boiler House.
There was also one British soldier, named Jackson, who was erving sentence. for striking a Japanese officer in Shamshuipo Camp.

Before the American attack on Hong Kong, two 12-oz. tins of meat were allowed daily for 46 persons, but after the attack, this meat ration was stopped. The prisoners also occasionally get potatoes, but no brêěd, Allowed tea and water.
