(1) the provisions of the Emergency towers (Defence) Act,
1939, which by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence)
Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers
(Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940,
were extended to the territories mentioned in the
Second Schedule to the first mentioned Order subject
to the adaptations and modifications contained in the
First Schedule thereto shall apply to the Colony
subject also to tie further modification that the
functions exercisable thereinder by the Governor
