(b) the payment of salaries of persons in

Provided that nothing in this sub-section shell
authorise the application of the capital moneys of the
Exchange Fund established by the Currency Ordinance,
1935, except for purposes prescribed in that
Ordinance as amended by subsequent Ordinances or for
the redemption of Hong Kong currency.
