I thought that such extra protection was unnecessary.
Chairman:
es an auditor in fact appointed?

Mr. Forrest: I think it is understood there but I am not sure
because I have not the original to refer to. I understood Davis had been appointed or
that some person of Linstead
asked to set.

Perhaps Mr. Kobra can tell us that, but Kr. Brown, who might
be assumed to have peculiar knowledge on the subject of Messrs.
Linstead å avis, says he hears of it for the first time
to-day.

You will appreciate that clause 14 there provides
that no cheque shall be drawn on this account unless it is
also countersigned by the accountant appointed by the aulitor.
las that in fact been done?
By the secretary, I think.
"shall be countersigned by such firm of accountants"
clause 1
I think as a master of fact that I had forgotten that it read that way in the original agreement, but this was modified later by a parol agreoment whereby the cheques are now countersigned by a secretary.
It refers to the nomination of a secretary by yourself. The only modification which is embodied herein is that fixing the term of five years.
As I say, by a parol agreement,
Would you say, in the light of what you now know, that the
type of separate account which you contemplated in this
agreement has in fact been opened?
I believe it has.
You know that cheques, which presumably were drawn on this
separate account, are drawn on an account known as Kobza .rt
Studio?
I know. I believe there are two accounts in the bank in
that name.
As Kobsa art Studio No. 2. Does it not seem strange for the general agent, who is referred to in the agreement by nume
but never by profession, to bank his money ani to draw his
cheques in that way?
