All officers who are required to handle money are required to deposit an amount in the Treasury to secure Government against any irregularities. All our shroffs are secured according to the amount which they handle. Every officer who handles money is
required to put up a larger or a small amount some put up $2000
and some $5000. Even firemen are required to put up $25 or so. Is that a condition precedent to appointment?
