With reference to H.B.M. Consul-General, Manila, Evacuation Account (copy attached), in respect of families evacuated from Hong Kong, I have the honour to inform you that agreement has been reached with the Naval and Civil authorities in respect of the charge for Messing and Accommodation.

2. It is impossible to split the item:-

"Transportation and Equipment, etc." P. 10,238.91

and such a division would not appear necessary in view of the provisions of A.C.I. 154 of 1940.

Special reference has been made to this item by the Commodore, Royal Naval Dockyard, Hong Kong, in his report to the Admiralty.

3. A summary of the agreement of Messing and Accommodation charges, and also a statement of recoveries in respect of allotments paid by H.B.M. Consul-General to Military families, are also forwarded herewith.
