that Colonel Doughty should be under no misapprehension
the position as regards his legal liability to the
payment of Salaries Tax during the current year of
assessment as defined by Ordinance No.13 of 1940 was
carefully explained in a letter dated 9th January, 1941,
which was sent to him by the Colonial Secretary. As this
letter has evoked no response from Colonel Doughty other
than his discourteous reply dated 22nd January, 1941, I
am regretfully compelled, in view of his official status
as a representative of the Dominion of Canada, to transmit
the correspondence to Your Lordship for such action as
Your Lordship considers appropriate.
I have the honour to be,
My Lord,
Your Lordship's most obedient, humble servant
Притон
Officer Administering the Government.
