With reference to my despatch No.211 of 25th April, 1940, I have the honour to report that I have granted to Mr. S. H. Dodwell, member of the Legislative Council, leave of absence from the Colony for a period of four months from 3rd July, 1941, and have appointed Mr. E. Davidson, provisionally and subject to His Majesty's pleasure, to be temporarily an unofficial member of the Legislative Council in his place.
