Statements from detectives re the junk towed out of British Waters. Submitted below. I have seen all the Major boat owners myself but have been unable to gather any information.

Det.P.8.0.88 CHAU PUI states 1-

On the evening of 12th inst. I was instrusted by the 0.1.0. to make enquiries about a junk which had been taken from near YEK O by a JAPANESE Motor boat. I did so but without result. On 13th inst. 0.1.0. told me to visit all the shops in Tai 0 and make enquiries. I enquired at every shop which could have anything to do with junks but was unable to obtain any results.

Det.P.C.0.655 TO YUNG states :-

On the evening of 12th inst. I wRS told by the 0.1.C. to make enquiries about the junk which had been taken away by the Japanese. I did so but could not find out anything. On the morning of 13th inst. 0.1.0. told me to ge around the boats in the harbour and the creek and make fur- ther enquiries, I did so but could find no one who knew anything about the junk. When I made my enquiries there was a great number of boats in Harbour owing to the very rough weather.
