Sir,
With reference to your letter No.1537 of
9th April, 1940, on the subject of the smuggling
of kerosene oil and other commodities into the Mirs
Bay districts, I am directed to inform you that
your representations will be given consideration
but that it is regretted that at the present time
Government is not clear as to the extent to which
help is possible.
