With reference to my despatch No.743 of
4th October, 1938, regarding the appointment of a
committee to inquire into the adequacy of the Kai
Tak aerodrome and to advise what steps should be
taken towards its extension or alteration, I now
have the honour to forward a copy of the committee's
report for your information, together with a plan
showing the proposed layout of the aerodrome.
2.
Action has already been taken to
implement recommendation II in paragraph 2 of the
report, and the necessary preliminary work
regarding the scheme as a whole is in progress.
