We have now consulted the Government of
Hong Kong on the terms which it was suggested at
our meeting here on the 23rd of July would be
suitable for your visit to Hong Kong with
Sir David Owen, and I enclose a formal letter
offering you the post of Engineering Adviser to
Sir David.
I also enclose a copy of a press notice
which we are publishing in the morning papers of
the 1st of August regarding the visit to Hong Kong
by Sir David and yourself.
