With reference to your letter of the 23rd ultimo (54002/2/40) with enclosure regarding the desire of the Government of Hong Kong to obtain the services of an officer in a
temporary capacity to act as an Assistant Assessor and Valuer,
I am directed by Secretary Sir John Anderson to inform you, for the information of Mr. Secretary MacDonald, that two qualified officers at present in the service of the Government of Northern Ireland would be prepared to consider a temporary secondment to the Assessor's Office, Hong Kong, and to transmit, herewith, statements giving particulars of the qualifications of the candidates in question.
I am, at the same time, to request that in the event of either of the officials concerned being considered suitable for
the post involved, the question of secondment may be dealt directly with the Ministry of Finance (Establishments Division), Northern Ireland.
I am,
Sir,
Your obedient Servant,
