A reply is being sent to your official
letter (E.P.3238 and K.P.3821) of the 11th March, in
which we are asking you to offer Mr. A. V. Currie the
temporary appointment of Third Assistant Assessor, {
Hong Kong In the present circumstances the
appointment of an unmarried officer seemed preferable
hence the selection of Currie.
