I am Medical Officer in charge Kowloon Public Mortuary. 14/3/40, I performed a post-mortem examination on the body of a Chinese male identified by KO KWCK KWONG & FONG CHUNG CHOI as that of CHENG HOP - Chinese male, 39 years of age.
I found that the cause of death was ruptured spleen and internal haemorrhage. Externally, there was a superficial linear abrasion 1" long below the right side of the lower lip.
There were superficial bruises over the splenic region, over the gall bladder region just to the left of the navel and below and lateral to the right nipple, and around the left knee cap. The legs were slightly swollen, and the conganeti- the lips- were bloodlessly pale; the abdomen was dis tended.

The heart was slightly enlarged. there was excess of clear fluid. The abdominal cavity was distended with free blood and clots. spleen, which was very much enlarged, weighed about 1 lb. 131⁄2 ozs. was ruptured around the lower half of the pedicle. The kidneys
In my opinion, the spleen was about 7 were slightly enlarged. times the normal size. There was no other evidence of disease, or fracture. The wounds could have been caused by a fist or falling against any blunt object.
