(2) That the vessel be surveyed in dry dock in
Hong Kong by the British Jorporation Surveyors
and if necessary by the Japanese Government
surveyor and bottom or other damage sustained
during detention to be made good or paid for
by the Japanese authorities.
(૪) That the vessel be delivered in Hong Kong
within a reasonable time, say 3 weeks of final
acceptance of Japanese offer.
(4) What it be understood that the ownere in
agreeing to this arrangement do not mean to
imply that they in any way recognise her seizure
as being justified or legal.
I trust that in these cire mstances the Japanese authorities will now give orders for the early release of this vessel and I shall be very grateful for an early
reply from Your xcellency on the subject.
