Ministry of Foreign Affairs have now replied as agreement in principle has been reached between owner of Lalita and Dholera and Japanese interests to the effect that both vessels should be chartered by the latter, Japanese Navy will consider earliest possible release of these vessels if the British Government will guarantee not to requisition them without the consent of the Japanese Government in the event of their being chartered by Japanese interests.

Ministry adds that solution of Sag [1 group undec.] question is possible if the same method be adopted.
