I submit herewith the attached statements
and report in connection with an attack on Fishing
Junk No. 2323 H.D. by a Japanese motor boat which
occurred about l† miles N.42 v. of Sha Eong Mẫu

) in British waters at 03.00 hours on the
25th October, 1959.
The facts are as follows:
At about 03.00 hours on the 25th cctober,
1939, two members of the junk in question were fishing
) which is situsted between
Off LAU PAU SHAN (
NIM WAN (
) and MONO TSENO (
) in
Deep Bay (British waters) when the steereman of the
junk named CHAN LAU (
) (statement attached)
noticed a motor boat approaching his junk from the etern.
He at once raised the alarm and a number of the crew
including the master arrived up on deck. The crew of
the motor boat then opened fire on the junk and the
members of the crew of the junk retaliated by firing four
shots from their rifles. "he motor boat then circled
around the junk and when the motor boat was on the nort
side of the junk the master named ANG PUT (
fired his cannon at the motor boat which then steamed
away in the direction of LIN TIN (
) Island.
The junk then set sail for Castle feak. when sailing
off CHEUNG SILA AN (
) at 05.00 hours they
saw No.3 Police Launch and reported the incident to
Acting Sub-inspector George, the officer-in-Charge, who
took aboard his launch a Chinese female named ANG KO
