I have the honour to refer to Mr. H. .. umith's

secret letter No.33 of 29th April, 1940, regarding attack:s
on Chinese junks near Hong Kong by Japanese naval vessels,
Enclosure Ha.1 and to forward for your information a list of such attacks
on junica from 1st April, 1940, to 30th June, 1940 in
continuation of the list forwarded with 12. N. b. mith's secret
letter under reference. A sumar of the nu ber of veascis
attacked during this period and their casualties and lossos
nolosure 11 ŝis also enclosed.

Copies of this letter are being sent to the
\ecretary of State for the Colonies, His Majesty's
unbassador, dhanghai, His Kajesty's DiplomatƐo Hission,
Chungiding, and the Go modore, Rong long.
