P.0.B479. On 28th Sept. I was on duty in Des Voeux Rd. Small boy
made report to me and I went to Chinese St. Outside No.29 I saw
man lying on the road. I telephoned & went with him to Queen Mary
Hospital. On 3rd October I identified his body.

Aunt of Leung Kl. 8 Chinese St. On evening of 28th Sept. he had
evening meal as usual & then went out. Later I heard he had been
injured. On 3rd October I identified body.

Leung Ki's father is my younger brother. He never left our house
& went to live somewhere else. He never lived at 21 Chinese St.
He had a scar on his forehead. He knocked his head against something
when at work. He was not detained in hospital.

L. 8.0381. On 30th Sept. about 7.10 p.m. I arrested accused at
junction of Tang Lung St. and Hennessy Rd. He was with 2 other
inen. The middle of the three. I told him I arrested him on a charge
of wounding Leung Ki in Chinese St. on 28th Sept. I cautioned him.
We then took the three men to the station. Aa we went along accused
said he cutting was done by me. This has nothing to do with the
two others".

Inspector of Police. On 28th Sept. at 9.50 p.m. I went to Chinese
St. & searched. Nothing found. On 1st Octobor I served statutory
notice on accused & offered him legal assistance. He said he wanted
no help. At 11 a.m. same day I served further notice on him on
same subject. At 12.15 p.m. I was present when statement was taken
from Leung Ki in the presence of accused who had opportunity to
cross-examine. Deposition completed next morning.

When I served notice I knew deceased was seriously ill & unfit to
